September marks a number of events taking place at Shipshewana Trading Place Auction & Flea Market. For most, this means the end of Summer but for Shipshewana it is a month-long celebration full of fun for the entire family.
September 3-5: Shipshewana Flea Market Open on Labor Day
Shop the Shipshewana Flea Market on Labor Day (Monday, September 3rd through Wednesday, September 5th) from 8 am - 5 pm. Nearly 800 flea market booths on 100 acres! Shipshewana Flea Market is the Midwest's Largest. Vendors offer a HUGE variety of products from fresh produce to home decor to clothing to cleaning supplies to games to books to kitchen items to furniture to everything in between. (The market is also open Tuesdays and Wednesdays through the end of September).
September 8 - Swap Meet
Saturday, September 8, daylight - 1 pm. Shoppers hunt for bargains and neat finds at the Newbury Square Swap Meet’s outdoor, open-air marketplace, held on the grounds at Shipshewana Auction on select Saturdays throughout the year. All kinds of fowl, poultry, small animals, pets, produce, baked goods, antiques, guns, flowers, trees, shrubs, and food. There are lots of local vendors. Most vendors only accept cash.
Location & Admission: Shipshewana Auction grounds, just South of the Red Barn Shoppes at 345 S Van Buren St, Shipshewana IN 46565. Shoppers can use the Shipshewana Flea Market main entrance to enter the property. Parking for Cars & Buggies is $3.

September 22 - Standardbred Horse Sale
Witness a true Amish horse auction at the Standardbred horse sale on Saturday, September 22 at the livestock auction barn. Preview and driving starts at 7:30 am, and the sale begins at 9:30 am.
September 26 - Shipshewana Flea Market Last Day for 2018 Season
It’s your last chance this season to shop the deals at the Midwest’s Largest Flea Market! The Shipshewana Flea Market is a do-not-miss Hoosier tradition with nearly 900 booths in an open-air market covering 40 acres.
In October, the flea market will be heading indoors and across the street to the Farmstead Expo Barn - open every Friday and Saturday through December 15 from 9am-4pm.
Every Wednesday - Antique & Miscellaneous Auction
The Antique Auction is held every Wednesday, year-round, at 9 am.
Six to ten auctioneers simultaneously sell antiques, collectibles, estate items, primitives, glassware, furniture, architectural salvage, and so much more!
An average auction will take from 9 am until 1 pm - 3 pm. The auction is held in the Shipshewana Auction Misc. & Antique Building (an 80' by 200' enclosed facility, heated in the winter and open-air in the summer). Restrooms and the Auction Snack Bar are located inside.
