Enjoy the fall season in Shipshewana the way it should be enjoyed - from inside an Amish buggy! Buggy Lane Tours offers buggy rides and a look at the Amish experience. They offer everything from a short buggy ride through downtown Shipshewana, to a private guided tour through the countryside followed by an Amish home cooked meal. Or, you can even go out and get a tour of real working Amish farms!

The views will certainly be awesome - you might see crops in country fields, one-room amish school houses, laundry blowing in the breeze, white painted houses, and maybe even an occasional stand selling homemade baked goods or home grown vegetables.

3. Ship-Chic Craft & Vintage Show (Fall Market)

345 S Van Buren St, Shipshewana, 260-768-4129, October 22, 2022, 9 am - 3 pm

If you're like me, you like giving unique gifts at Christmas time that put a smile on your family and friends' faces. One of the best places to shop for amazing gifts is the Ship-Chic Craft & Vintage Show here in Shipshewana.

This is a curated indoor pop-up market  on the fourth Saturday in October featuring amazing products for DIY lovers, Pinterest obsessers, Etsy loyalists, creative gift givers, small business supporters, or just folks who want a unique holiday shopping experience! Old stuff, new stuff and awesome stuff all picked with quality in mind.

There's also door prize drawings, giveaways and food!  Admission is $5 at the door. Children 12 and under are free and parking is free.

4. Pumpkinvine Nature Trail

The Pumpkinvine Nature Trail is a must-do in October because of the amazing fall colors. Take a walk, or better yet, a bike ride down this paved path that goes from Goshen to Middlebury to Shipshewana.

You'll get to witness the peaceful Amish countryside, farm life and of course, the beautiful trees. Definitely put the Pumpkinvine Trail on your list for this fall before it gets too cold to ride a bike!

5. Shipshewana Swap Meets

If you love to shop for unique local items, you will love the monthly Shipshewana Swap Meets. Fall brings a whole different variety of items and you never know what you'll find, but locally grown pumpkins, gourds and mums are sure to be on the list.

This is a really fun way to interact with a very local group of vendors from our amazing community and be sure you get here early, the hours are always daylight - 1 pm and daylight comes mighty early in Shipshewana!

6. Fall Colors and Outdoor Adventures

Shipshewana and the LaGrange County area have a whole lineup of great outdoor recreation that you can enjoy any time of year, but for Fall colors, you will love some of the great views as you visit parks, take a canoe trip, throw a pole in the lake or anything else that meets your fancy while visiting us outdoors in Shipshewana.
