Flea Market Vendor Spotlight: C&J's Gourmet Foods #771
Bacon Cheddar, Cucumber Dill, Garden Vegetable, Garlic Butter, Loaded Potato, Spinach Parmesan, Jalapeno Cheddar, Banana Cream Pie, Strawberry, Chocolate Peanut Butter....are you hungry yet? These dip mix flavors are only a small sampling of what C&J's has to offer at booth number 771 at the Shipshewana Flea Market.
C&J stands for Carol and Jerry - a husband and wife who have sold dip mixes, soup mixes and pickle mixes at the Shipshewana Flea Market for eight years. You've probably seen them with lots of people hovering around their small building because guess what? FREE SAMPLES.
They'll let you try almost every flavor as long as it's in stock. The first dip I sampled was the garlic butter, which is their current number one seller. And boy, was it delicious! I can't wait to impress my family and friends when I whip up this tasty dip for my next get-together. I also tried the garden vegetable and cucumber dill, which were both superb as well.
In addition to offering a huge selection of dip mixes, C&J's also specializes in soup mixes. The flavor that interested me the most was the "Love It!" soup. Carol came up with the name.
"She calls it our Love Soup because of the good ingredients that are in it," said Jerry.
Visit C&J's to find "Dips for Every Occasion" at space number 771 in the Shipshewana Flea Market every Tuesday and Wednesday from May through the first Saturday in October. You can also order their dips online at cjsgourmetfoods.com, or give them a call at 765-564-4584.
