Flea Market Vendor Spotlight: Lunamojo #616-617
You may have been drawn into their booth after shopping their famous "quarter" table that sits just outside...where everything is 25 cents! Lunamojo owners Denise (daughter) and Charlene (mother) are in their sixth year at the Shipshewana Flea Market.
First...let's talk about the handmilked and handmade goat's milk soap and lotions.
I sampled the Chunky Monkey goat's milk lotion, and I must say, I couldn't stop sniffing my hands throughout the rest of the day because they smelled so good. It also gave my palms some much needed moisture. Denise has had her goats on her farm in Stroh, Indiana for over 7 years. However, she didn't always have a heart for goats like she does now.
"Denise used to despise our goats when she was little!" said Charlene.
That's not the case anymore. Now she has 25 goats, and milks eight of them.
"People really like the goat's milk soaps because of the extra moisturizing properties," said Denise. "For example, the Castile soap just has fresh goat's milk and oilve oil in it. It's great for people with eczema."
While you stock up on your soaps, be sure take a look at the rest of the booth, which Charlene lovingly calls "Great Grandma's Stuff." The name fits. There's a variety of antiques: old books, butter dishes, pyrex, salt and peppers, tea cups, doilies, buttons, vintage glassware, and more. There's even a one dollar table and a half off table...which is awesome because I love a good bargain! Who doesn't?
And look at all of these handmade towels, dishcloths, kitchen towels with potholders, scrubbies, bag holders made out of children's clothes [SO CUTE], and more. You just need to see it for yourself.
Visit Lunamojo to at space number 616-617 in the Shipshewana Flea Market every Tuesday and Wednesday from May through the first Saturday in October. For more information on Lunamojo Nubians Goat Milk Soaps & Lotions, email Denise.
