7 Examples of Great Booth Displays and Why

Post Date: Nov 07, 2024

We've gathered 7 photos from successful and beautiful flea market booths here in Shipshewana, Indiana that will help you get your creativity flowing and customers buying.

1. Good Use of Color

Using color in your booth display can communicate a lot about your brand and speakk to your ideal shopper! Use color to invite people in and give them a sense of what you're all about. If you're a fashion boutique for women, use hot pink or purple.

This flea market booth is all about hand painted signs. The variety of colors used in the front of the booth draw in shoppers adding contrast and personality.

2. Varying Heights

This booth uses crates to hold and display their products. The crates match the vintage atmosphere and they create height and depth to the space. This flea market vendor also hangs products from the lattice on the ceiling.

Creating height in your booth display allows for good traffic flow as it clears up space on the floor, and helps your booth look more full.

3. Encourage Duration of Stay

At larger markets, shoppers are on their feet constantly. One way you can attract them to your flea market booth is by simply offering a resting place in your booth display. We have even seen vendors have a chair outside their booth, and lovingly label it "hubby chair."

On a hot day, you could have a fan running or a misting station. When you encourage people to sit or get relief in your booth, you're creating a welcoming atmosphere that shoppers will thank you for and it gives them more time to see and BUY your products!

4. Clear Pricing

Shoppers appreciate when booths are organized based on price with clear signage - it makes it so easy for them!

I've actually walked away from an item I was interested in simply because I wasn't sure on the price and didn't feel like interrupting the vendor to find out.

5. Decorated for the Season

One challenge with a permanent booth space is keeping your display new and fresh so customers will come back. One way to change up your display is by decorating for the season. For example, in the fall, hang some leaves around your booth, or add some fresh gourds or pumpkins. At Christmas, add some holly, pine or Christmas lights.

If it's not in your budget to decorate each season, simply try re-arranging your booth or using products that reflect the season to keep it looking fresh like this booth did for Independence Day with Americana themed items.

6. Great Use of Stands

This clothing and accessory boutique does an excellent job of displaying items in a way that helps customers visualize the items on themselves.

Consider purchasing stands or wire grids to hang or display items - especially if it's jewelry or apparel. Or, consider using items like ladders or pallets to hang scarves and other accessories.

7. Backdrops & Greenery

A simple way to express your personality and create atmosphere is to decorate with backdrops, table cloths and greenery! This olive oil booth is decorated to feel like you're in an Italian bistro.

The velvet table cloth and the greenery at the checkout counter create added texture and fullness to the display.
