Are pets allowed?

Yes, dogs are allowed in the flea market and RV park as long as they're kept on a leash at all times and cleaned up after appropriately.

Are you open on the weekends?

We pride ourselves on being a unique Tuesday-Wednesday flea market. If you can't make it during the week, we do have extended holiday markets on Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day and Fall Extravaganza plus other special events that fall on weekends. Antique Markets held across the street at the Pavilion fall on the first Saturdays in June, August & September and the Fall Market Series takes place on Saturdays in the fall as well.

Do vendors take credit cards?

You will want to bring plenty of cash, but several vendors are able to accept credit or debit cards. ATMs are available on site.

How do I become a vendor at the flea market?

We're always on the lookout for new flea market vendors. Check out rates and vendor information.

How do I rent an electric scooter?

Visit booth #1018 by the main entrance to rent electric scooters. Rental rates are $10.00 per hour (2-hour minimum) plus $20.00 deposit. For reservations, call the number listed below at least one day in advance. Reservations are held until 8:30 am. Please leave your name and your arrival date on a message when you call.

How much does it cost to get in?

Parking is $3.00 per vehicle, and admission is free. Those staying with us at the Farmstead Inn receive a free parking pass.

I’m looking for old or vintage items to up-cycle or refinish. Where can I find those?

Check out our list of Antiques & Collectibles flea market vendors on our website or mobile app. On Wednesdays, bid at the Miscellaneous & Antique Auction which specializes in unique items including architectural salvage, used furniture, collectibles and signs. You can preview items for auction on Tuesdays in the Misc. & Antique Auction barn.

Is the flea market outdoor or indoor?

The flea market is an open-air outdoor market. However, many of the vendors are under cover in tents or buildings, providing protection from the elements.

Is there food on site?

Yes! A variety of food options are available throughout the market. Six food locations feature everything from delicious chicken and sirloin tips to tasty sweets and treats. There is something for everyone.

For a traditional indoor dining experience, visit the Auction Restaurant located at the main entrance to the market.

Is there handicap parking?

There is ample handicap parking available at all entrances to the market. Electric scooter rental is closest to the S.R. 5 Main Entrance.

What if it rains?

The flea market stays open, rain or shine. Come prepared for any weather.

What products do vendors offer?

Because our flea market is so large, you will find vendors who offer something for everyone - new items, old items, quirky items, hand-made items, re-purposed items, and food. Many vendors specialize in home decor products and household items. View an online vendor directory.

What should I bring?

You may consider bringing some of the following items on your visit to the flea market:

  • Comfortable Shoes
  • Sunglasses, hat and sunscreen
  • Umbrella or poncho (just in case)
  • Cash
  • Extra bags for purchases
  • A cooler to keep in your trunk for cold food purchases
  • Water bottle
When is the flea market open?

The Shipshewana Flea Market is open every Tuesday and Wednesday from May through September, from 8am - 5pm (ET). Also open during special holidays and events, as listed below.

Extended Market 2017 Dates:

  • Memorial Day (May 29-31)
  • Independence Day (July 3-5)
  • Labor Day (Sept. 4-6)
