You Have to Try These 7 Places to Eat in Shipshewana
If you live in Shipshewana or you have visited the area before, then you already know everything that I am about to say. If you have never been to the area, then I am honored to have the privilege of educating you on what we eat here in Shipshe.
The community has quietly assembled a pretty diverse collection of places to eat. There is something for everyone here in Shipshewana, Indiana. With all that being said, here are some of our local favorites!
1. Jojo’s Pretzels
Located on the ground floor of the Davis Mercantile (right down the road from the Flea Market) lies what some would consider to be the end of the rainbow. If you’re looking for a quick but absolutely delicious snack, look no further than Jojo’s Pretzels.

2. Blue Gate Restaurant

If you’re looking to fill your stomach with a nourishing homestyle meal, then the Blue Gate is the place for you. Stop in for a meal & catch a show at the Blue Gate Theatre, which is located in the same building.

3. Shipshewana Auction Restaurant
Right next to the Livestock Auction barn here at the Shipshewana Flea Market lies the Auction Restaurant, yet another terrific breakfast and lunch eatery where you are greeted with a smile & treated with care. Oh, & not to mention the scrumptious options on the menu (I highly recommend the breakfast Haystack or the Hand Breaded fish or tenderloins).
It's open on the same days as the flea market and auctions, so be sure to check their Facebook page for hours, special events and weekly specials.

4. Rise ‘n Roll
When you think of a mouth-watering treat, the first thing that comes to the mind of a Shipshewana area resident is undoubtedly a donut from Rise ‘n Roll. Best. Donuts. Ever! End of story. They are truly little circles of heaven.

5. Country Corral
While Shipshewana is an area of high quality food, it is also an area of high quality customer service. The Country Corral restaurant is a prime example of this. While everything here is phenomenal, I always find myself ordering something hearty & delicious off of the breakfast menu.

7. 5 & 20
What are those things called again where you get to make as many trips through the food line to get as much exquisite food as you want? …a BUFFET! Well, whatever the case may be, the 5 & 20 Country Restaurant is the place to go if you’re looking for a real bang for your buck.
