How We Upcycled This Box - A Live Auction Buy
Shipshewana Auction hosts a live auction every Wednesday year-round (except the week of Christmas and New Year's) and you never know what amazing treasure you will find to use as is or upcycle into something brand new!

1) This unassuming box caught the eyes of our resident DIY expert and was purchased at live auction for just six dollars.
2) With a little sanding and then a quick covering with black acrylic paint, she sanded it again for the rough and primitive look.
3) This time she filled it with a holiday scented candle and Christmas greenery and berries to use as a centerpiece for her family dinner table.
Other possible ideas for using this box:
- Switch out greenery and candle with other items to make it a seasonal centerpiece.
(Put in bunnies for Easter, Pumpkins for Fall or even Snowmen for Winter.) - Add handles and use it to hold jars of cotton balls and Q-Tips in the bathroom.
- Place fresh or decorative fruit inside for a beautiful natural centerpiece for any table or shelf that may need sprucing up.
