Flea Market Vendor Spotlight: All Pro Baits
Meet Jason Belden. He's a first year vendor here at the Shipshewana Flea Market, hailing from Three Rivers, Michigan
Jason owns All Pro Baits, a fishing bait shop located at booth 779 at the market. He sells all kinds of the best bass fishing bait at really low prices!
So how did he end up selling at the market? Well, Jason acquired inventory from a bait shop in Kentucky, and started looking for places to sell! He came out to the market, found a spot and began selling here in May of 2018.
He has an intense love for fishing, and he enjoys talking to customers about it and helping them pick out the right bait.
"I started fishing about eight years ago - I like catching the big stuff," he said. "I just like to talk fishing. Everyone has a different experience, so every day is a new learning opportunity for me."
All Pro Baits offers hand-poured bait, including all of the favorite colors in the industry such as watermelon cotton candy. He sells most of his items for just $5 a bag.
"I am cheaper than Ebay!" said Jason.
Popular baits include fluke shad, senko worms, super lizards, ribbon tails, Brush Dawg and Brush Puppy, Crappie Tubes (these also work great for smallmouth, walleye & steelheads), and Hot Tubes with new wave colors like fighting frog and electric pink.
Jason also offers kids fishing poles for $15 and a handful of other sport supplies.
Being a new vendor, Jason understands the fears and challenges of starting to sell in a new place. His advice is to listen - get to know your vendor neighbors and talk to your customers.
Visit Jason's tent at space 779 the Shipshewana Flea Market every Tuesday and Wednesday May through September to talk and shop all things fishing.
