Shipshewana Auction has been serving buyers and sellers from all over the country since 1922. Our three auctions (Antique & Miscellaneous, Livestock, and Horse) run every week, year-round and offer a unique experience for those wanting to buy, sell, or simply sit back and watch the excitement of live bidding.
Currently Wanda can be found on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the Misc. & Antique office fielding phone calls and working the buyer windows and on Fridays clerking on the block at the horse auctions.
Jenny has been around the hotel, auction, and flea market most of her life. Her main role is the Livestock Office where she checks out buyers and sellers each week at the Livestock and Horse Auctions. She lives in Shipshewana with her husband and 3 children.
Michael has held the Flea Market Director position at Shipshewana Trading Place since 2006. He manages vendor relations, customer service and all operations of the Midwest's Largest flea market, Antique Auctions and Special Events.

Shipshewana Trading Place continues our 100th Birthday celebration with an open house on Wednesday October 12, 2022. Each week, the Antique and Livestock auctions take place and this special date will include some fun activities in celebration of our Centenary.

The Shipshewana Horse Auction is held every Friday, year-round. Horse lovers from all over the United States join us for our weekly auctions of driving, work, saddle horses, ponies, and tack. Special yearly horse sales are held on Good Friday and the Day After Thanksgiving.
Tour buses are welcomed to Shipshewana Trading Place from all over the United States and Canada. From smaller sized church groups to bus loads, we welcome them all to experience our famous Auctions, Flea Market and to stay with us at the Farmstead Inn & Conference Center.
The town of Shipshewana has shops and attractions that are open year-round. The Shipshewana Flea Market itself is a seasonal market (see dates and hours here), but the Auctions, Farmstead Inn, and downtown shops are year-round. In the Amish/Mennonite community, it is commonplace to be closed on Sundays, so please consult visitshipshewanain.com for specific shop hours.
