Part-Time Breakfast Staff

The Farmstead Inn & Conference Center is looking for a part-time breakfast attendant. The breakfast attendant will possess excellent people skills. They will be motivated and attentive to provide our guests with a memorable dining experience. They will be in charge of setting up and breaking down the breakfast buffet each morning while ensuring that all food items are well stocked.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up the breakfast buffet area, ensuring it is clean, organized and fully stocked
  • Prepare and serve breakfast items such as eggs, sausage, etc.
  • Monitor food levels and replenish as needed throughout the breakfast service
  • Coordinate the tear down of the complimentary breakfast
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in breakfast area to uphold hygiene and presentation standards including cleaning dishes
  • Wash serving equipment and return to storage
  • Welcoming and thanking guests with genuine hospitality
  • Providing exceptional customer service, attending to guest inquiries, and accommodating special requests
  • Clear tables and clean up after guests have finished their meals
  • Understand the company’s policy on work shifts, guest’s possession and privacy issues
  • Monitor and report on the inventory of food supplies
  • Perform detailed deep cleans when required

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
  • Basic culinary skills such as food preparation and handling
  • A commitment to deliver exceptional service and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues to create a seamless breakfast experience
  • Adaptability to handle fluctuations in guest traffic and varying breakfast demands
  • Physical strength and stamina to maneuver breakfast trays, stand for extended periods, and perform lifting tasks

 

This part-time position (with potential to become full-time) will be responsible for a variety of breakfast related duties and report directly to the Food Service Supervisor. Must provide own transportation, be reliable, flexible and willing to work weekends and holidays (a must), have a positive attitude and strong desire to provide excellent customer service.
