3 Days, 2 Nights

Day 1 (Monday): Arrive in Shipshewana

Check into your room at Shipshewana’s Farmstead Inn & Conference Center in the afternoon. Be sure to pick up your free flea market parking pass at the front desk. Take a moment to notice the quiet sounds of Amish buggies passing by.

Stroll next door to the Menno-Hof Amish/Mennonite Information Center to learn about local life and culture through presentations and exhibits.

Have an Amish-style dinner at the famous Blue Gate Restaurant or one of the many quaint cafes in town. Then return to the Farmstead Inn for a dip in the indoor pool.

Day 2 (Tuesday): Flea Market Day

In the morning, head across the street to the Shipshewana Flea Market for a day full of shopping the nearly 900 booths on 100 acres of property. Find bargains on every type of merchandise imaginable! Pick up a delicious lunch at one of the flea market’s food court pavilions. Rest a bit and take in the sights, smells and sounds of the Midwest’s Largest Flea Market.

After lunch, drive or walk downtown to visit favorites like the Davis Mercantile, Harrison Street Shops or Blue Gate Specialty Shops to find unique items. Consider taking a buggy ride around town. For dinner, consider reserving a group dining experience at a local Amish homestead.

After dinner, take a stroll on the Pumpkinvine nature trail to enjoy Shipshewana’s peaceful countryside.

Day 3 (Wednesday): It's Auction Time

After your free breakfast at the Farmstead Inn, go across the street to the Shipshewana Auction & Miscellaneous Building (on flea market grounds) and experience the  Antique Auction. Get there before the 9 a.m. starting time to preview the items to be auctioned and to get your buyer number from the office.

Walk across the parking lot to the Auction Restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal and a fresh slice of pie. Shop next door at Yoder’s Meat & Cheese and the Red Barn Shoppes.

If you have time after checking out of your room, stop by the Visitor’s Center where you’ll find  more fun area info.
